The foreclosure rate in the Dallas area is lower than the national rate of 3.44 percent and the Texas rate of 1.55 percent.</p>
<p>The Dallas area mortgage delinquency rate of more than 90 days has also decreased to 4.76 percent in July year-over-year from 5.25 percent, according to the data. <p>The Cotton Bowl Stadium hosts the annual <a href="http://www.attcottonbowl.com/main/index_ie.php" target="_blank">Cotton Bowl Classic</a> college football game.</p>
<p>Sports, from professional to college to interscholastic to community, abound in the Metroplex. The area provides a sports club for almost any activity imaginable.</p>

<h2>Transportation</h2>
<p>Getting around the Metroplex is made easier with major highways that intersect within the city. The freeway system provides well-kept corridors for access to all parts of the Metroplex.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.dart.org/" target="_blank">Dallas Area Rapid Transit</a> (DART) system provides bus service for Dallas and most of the surrounding 13 communities. The system curently combines bus and rail. DART plans to have 66 miles of light rail in full operation by 2010. Fort Worth has a similar transit system known as &#8220;The T.&#8221;</p>
<p>Two major airports are located within the area, <a href="http://www.dfwairport.com/" target="_blank">Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport</a> and Love Field Airport, which is home to Southwest Airlines providing service throughout Texas and the four bordering states.</p>
<p>Three new airports will help double Metroplex aircraft operations by the year 2005, including <a href="http://www.allianceairport.com/" target="_blank">Alliance Airport</a>, a large commercial field north of Fort Worth.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak%2FPage%2FTraveling_With_Amtrak_Index_Page&amp;c=Page&amp;cid=1080072922215&amp;ssid=6" target="_blank">Amtrak</a> provides rail travel throughout Texas and the U.S. It is the sixth largest carrier of passengers in the U.S.</p>

<h2>Education</h2>
<p>D/FW offers a wide variety of choices in education. No matter what your age, interest or intellectual level, there is a school for you, from kindergarten to graduate school.</p>
<p>More than 60 school districts are located in the Metroplex. Each school district in Texas is bound by codes and requirements of the Texas Education Agency. Districts vary according to special services and programs available and in number and type of classes they offer.</p>
<p>The Metroplex is home to more than 200 private schools ranging from the traditional to the innovative and catering to a wide range of academic and economic abilities.</p>
<p>There are five public universities and 19 private colleges and universities offering bachelors&#8217;, masters&#8217; and doctorate programs.Three community college districts serve the area, providing community education, certifications and associate degrees.</p>

<p>There are endless options when it comes to recreation in Dallas/Fort Worth. The warm weather, sunshine, and plenty of outdoor recreational facilities help make the Metrtoplex a great place to live.</p>
<p>Lakes around the Metroplex provide more than 490,000 acres of open water for boating, <a href="http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/" target="_blank">fishing</a>, skiing and swimming.</p>

<p>You&#8217;re never without entertainment in Dallas/Fort Worth. Unique cultural events are available to suit virtually every taste.</p>

<p><strong>Darling Homes</strong> Ranks Highest in Overall Customer Satisfaction among New-Home Builders in Dallas/Ft. Worth Housing Market.</p>
<p><strong>Darling Homes</strong> Also Ranks Highest in New-Home Design and New-Home Quality Studies.  Darling Homes achieved a score of 883 on a 1,000-point scale in 2008, up by 53 points from 830 in 2007 and performs particularly well in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market in seven of the nine factors: builder&#8217;s sales staff; builder&#8217;s design center; construction manager; workmanship/materials; home readiness; builder&#8217;s warranty/customer service staff; and location.  Following Darling Homes in the market rankings are <strong>Huntington Homes</strong> (854) and <strong>Fox &amp; Jacobs</strong> (833)</p>
<p>The average customer satisfaction index score in Dallas/Ft. Worth is 783.  The satisfaction has improved substantially in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market in 2008.</p>
